Data Casting with Center Stage Live

Data Casting: Posting Program Associated Data to RDS\RBDS Encoders, HD Radio, The Artist Experience, DAB/DRM, DTS Connected Radio (Hybrid Radio), Web Sites, Streaming Services, Web Services such as, TuneIn, etc.

DTS Connected Radio

DTS Connected Radio™ enhances the radio experience by adding internet connectivity to deliver additional benefits and features to the radio experience. DTS Connected Radio is compatible with the following Global Radio formats: AM, FM, DAB, DAB+, and HD Radio™.

DTS Connected Radiotm also provides artist images that can be used free of charge for HD Radio's The Artist Experience and replaces the existing TagStation artwork that was shut down in the December 2019.

Modified to use program logo for program segments without artwork

  • The DTS Connected Radio functions have been modified to capture artist images for use in HD Radio or other data casting applications replacing the artwork from TagSation/Next Radio.

  • An additional template for Futuri has been added and can be used to feed the stream and future eliminating the need for a special Futuri instance

  • The Xpontential routines have been updated to process metadata from the Xpontential JSON feed.

  • WideOrbit IP workaround for broken datasets. Some WideOrbit metadata XML feeds may come in bursts with part of the xml, a break and then the rest of the xml. This especially true when using the Stack Change option to get next event to pre-stage artwork for HD Radio. To correct this issue a new WO DataSet Option has been added that will wait for the second IP packet with the rest of the XML data.

  • CSWeather now captured and sends Xpontential metadata using the new Xpotential JSON feed

  • The CSScheduler main window has been modified to accept station assigned artwork to scheduled events. This eliminate the need to set the Web Acces option in the Access control window.

  • The option to assign PNG files was added to the message scheduling options.

  • An additional HD Artwork option have been added to the File Menu. This is used to view the artwork DTS Connected Radio assigned to each music event and if desired, delete the entry so the artwork is re-set or override the artwork with station owned artwork.

  • A warning has been added for artwork for scheduled messages if the file size exceeds 12kb. While 24kb is allowed these larger files may not get to the receiver when a short term scheduled event is posted. For those sites that used TS for this purpose, the artwork was 450x450 for use on the NextRadio Player but a 170x179 8-12kb file was returned for use on HD.

  • There is also an export function to create a CSV spreadsheet file of artwork linked to specific event ids.
